Work Location: Same as above and several locations depending on the customers and business activity: occasional overnight travel throughout Canada, United States, China, Australia, and Europe
Note: telecommuting might be required during the pandemic

Job Description:
• Answer phone calls/e-mails from distributors and/or customers
• Assess customers/distributors’ needs and gather appropriate information about the process and their valve/actuator requirements
• Read data sheets and P&IDs to determine the valve type, material selection and actuator sizing.
• Perform control valve sizing with internal software and specify the appropriate valve based on valve Cv’s and the sizing calculations
• Estimate valve torques based on valve type, differential pressures and the process media.
• Calculate costs using estimating techniques in Made 2 Manage (M2M)
• Confirm stock and delivery schedules with production
• Prepare quotations in M2M, in response to customer requests
• Consult with customers after sale to provide ongoing support
• Prepare and administer sales contracts
• Prepare technical proposals to accompany quotations. These could include literature, reference lists and PowerPoint presentations.
• Submit technical proposals in a timely manner
• Negotiate prices or other sales terms
• Follow up on all quotations to secure orders or get feedback on why they decided to use a different manufacturer
• Manage orders and returns (RMA’s) from start to finish. Review documents, confirm pricing and deliveries, work with scheduling and production teams to ensure orders meet the scheduled delivery
• Troubleshoot technical problems from customers related to any valves/actuators sold by Gosco
• Proactively work with Production and Engineering to resolve customer issues and offer suggestions
• Identify & solicit potential customers and promote sales to existing customers/distributors
• Prepare back up documentation such as reference lists, costing templates, literature and PowerPoint presentations - highlighting features & benefits of our products and comparisons to competitors’ valves.
• Record and document performance of all distributors and sales agents
• Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards
• Adhere and comply to all Corporate Policies (Quality Policy, Code of Conduct, Core Values)
• Adhere to all ISO procedures and departmental policies and procedures
• Adhere to all health and safety standards

Requirements:

Education:
-A college diploma or university degree in mechanical engineering is required. Secondary degree in Business and/or prior Sales training is an asset

Experience:
-A minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial ball valves or in sales related to this product is required.
-Must have knowledge of severe service ball valves, pneumatic/electric actuators, valve accessories (positioners, solenoid valves, limit switches etc.)
-Working experience with Made 2 Manage ERP software
-Computer knowledge in Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, Power point) is required.

Salary: $24.04 to $26.00 hourly, 40 hours per week (Must be available from time to time to work after hours or on weekends if required)

Benefits: Dental insurance, extended medical insurance. Travel expenses covered by employer when needed.

Important Information:
Most common schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. It includes 60 minutes of unpaid lunch break and two paid health breaks of 15 minutes each. Flexibility on schedule is required due to customer service requirements. Weekend, on call and overtime work may be required depending on the business’ needs.
