Application Engineer/Project Management SR. Level Engineer Company designs, builds and installs world-class conveyor systems and material handling solutions. Application Skills are most important in this role. However this will also encompass Project Management skills as well. REQUIREMENTS: At least 5 years’ experience as an application engineer. Experience in the conveyor industry is most desired or related material handling systems. Successful experience designing fulfillment systems for retail and omni channel distribution. Understands the “business” of distribution, not just conveyor system layout. Must have experience managing projects through implementation. 1. Understand customer needs thoroughly so DCS is able to design the best conveyor system to meet their requirements. 2. Work with the Director of Engineering so accurate drawings of the proposed layout are created. 3. Work with installation subcontractors to estimate labor costs and manpower and equipment requirements. 4. Work with subcontractors to ensure their proposals and product to meet the customer requirements. 5. Maintain project schedule to assure all aspects are completed in the timeframes needed. 6. Work closely and communicate with Directors of Engineering and Manufacturing Manager, and work with Project Engineer to assure drawings are produced as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 1. Bachelors Degree in Engineering required or equivalent experience in the conveyor industry. 2. Ability to apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. 3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 4. Able to work well under pressure while maintaining a customer-friendly attitude. 5. Able to develop project schedules and meet deadlines. 6. Detail oriented and organized. 7. Experienced with Microsoft Office software, scheduling software. 8. Must be have a neat appearance and be able to represent DCS in a professional manner. 9. Must be highly motivated. WORKING CONDITIONS 1. Office environment with open floor plan. Must be able to concentrate with moderate activity surrounding you. 2. Limited travel is required to meet with customers and visit job sites as needed. 3. May be occasionally required to work long hours and weekends.
