Can Art Aluminum Extrusion is a privately held North American based extruder of standard and custom aluminum profiles. Through the continuous support and dedication of our ownership, management, employees, suppliers, and most importantly our customers, Can Art has grown from a single press operation in 1988 to the multi plant, multi press operation that we are today.
Can Art is undergoing significant growth in the local marketplace and is immediately in need of skilled trades personnel to assist with the securing, installation, and implementation of two 92) new Extrusion presses to help offset this high demand customer requirement.

Job description:
• Design, develop and test power equipment and systems,
• Assist in design, development and testing,
• Write specifications,
• Install, maintain and service very unique extrusion press equipment,
• Assist in inspecting, testing and adjusting electronic components,
• Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments,
• Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications,
• Collect and compile operational or experimental data,
• Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems,
• Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics,
• Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems
• Supervise the building and testing of prototypes,
• Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports,
• Read and interpret blueprints.
Requirements:
Education: Completion of a two- or three-year college program in electrical or electronics engineering technology, computer engineering technology, telecommunications technology or an equivalent is required
The necessary experience to be eligible for trade certification is required
-“Hands-on” knowledge of the extrusion presses
Salary:
Salary: $30.00 - ... Hourly, 42 hours per week, working on a seven (7) day continental rotating shift schedule to service the plant twenty-four (24) hours per day in an effort to meet current and ongoing plant requirements. Your core hours will consist of your assignment to one of four twelve (12) hour rotating continental shifts. The twelve (12) hour rotating continental shift assignment will be 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Overtime at the applicable time and one-half rate of your base hourly rate will apply to all hours of work greater than eighty (80) hours worked in each respective pay period.
Benefits:
The Employee will initially be entitled to two (2) weeks’ (4%) paid vacation annually, with the first week of vacation entitlement being made available to you after your first six (6) months of full-time continuous employment on the job.

The Employee is further qualified and entitled to participate in Can Art’s monthly bonus plan, payable on a discretionary basis, and awarded solely on the basis of the plant’s successful performance as measured by certain monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Average Payout - 3% per month.
