Type of Employment: Full Time – Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Assist in conducting biological tests and laboratory analyses Conduct microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses Proceed with biochemical tests and laboratory analyses Set up and conduct biochemical tests and laboratory analyses Set up and conduct biological tests and laboratory analyses Set up and conduct microbiological tests and laboratory analyses Assist in analysis of data and preparation of reports Assist in conducting field research and surveys to collect data and samples Analyze data and prepare reports Requirements: Education: Completion of a two- to three-year college program in a field related to agriculture, biology, microbiology, wildlife or resource management is required. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in biotechnology or related field are required. General experience working in a life sciences lab is a strong asset. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal Suitability: Accurate, Excellent oral and written communication, Judgement, Organized, Team player, Analytical, Values and Ethics. Computer and Technology Knowledge: MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows Language: English is required Salary: $34.07 hourly, 40 hours per week.
