Travelling to site might be required at times Type of Employment: Full time–Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job description: • Establish and implement policies and procedures for engineering work • Management of Engineering Department; engineers, designers • Development of new products to increase components manufacturing for Canadian, USA and Mexican markets • Authorize the development of specifications for products or services • Assign, co-ordinate and review technical work • Verify calculations and checking of designs • Evaluate technical designs and engineering work • Oversee the analysis of data and information • Oversee the preparation of reports • Consult and advise clients • Advise senior management • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations • Plan and control budget and expenditures • Hire, train, direct and motivate staff Educational Requirements - A bachelor's degree in engineering is required -Professional Engineer P.Eng Certificate (Association of professional engineers of Ontario) required Experience and Skills Requirements: -At least 5 years of experience in an engineering discipline, including supervisory experience, is required. -Experience in overhead cranes and lifting equipment / runway design is required. Hands on building experience preferred. -Must have extensive knowledge of overhead cranes, gantries, jib cranes, monorails and transfer carts, crane runway systems. -Driver’s license is required as travelling to site might be required at times -Some electrical knowledge of overhead cranes is an asset -Proficient in Auto CAD, Solid Works, Excel and Word -Good communication and organization skills -Ability to work in a team atmosphere and able to multi-task -Quick learner -Material Handler Background (specifically overhead cranes / holsting) is an asset Salary: $48.21 to $49.21 hourly, 40 hours per week Benefits: Disability, Extended Medical and Dental insurance will be provided Important Information: Work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 30 minutes of lunch break and two healthy breaks of 15 minutes will be provided.
