Engineer in Thunder Bay, Ontario

Dear Sir/Madam, I hope this letter finds you in good health amid the COVID-19 crisis. I am a graduate, M...... in Mechanical Engineering from Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, ON CA. My Master’s Degree was course-based and allowed me to adapt knowledge of current trends in technology and hands-on software experience with management strategies. Some of the projects I have worked on were rooted in advanced computational fluid dynamics, renewable energy, advanced heat transfer, intelligent tools for system design, project management, and more. Based on my education I find my interests are most aligned towards designing engineering systems, project management, Thermal Engineering (Computation fluid dynamics focused) and mechatronics. I have prior experience working in India as Engineering Intern. I worked in Motor and Generator Department at Siemens to get hands-on experience in production and manufacturing. I received positive feedback from my supervisor during this time and due to my professional work ethic and efficiency on the job my initial internship was extended by three months. Outside of my academic experience, I have recently joined the competitive rowing crew at Lakehead University. Rowing is a sport that requires mental and physical toughness and dedication which I feel I have, and which I believe further makes me a great candidate for this position. Also, I sit on the Board of Directors for the Thunder Bay Rowing Club as an Athlete Representative. This volunteer work requires time management and collaboration which I believe I can bring to any team. I have also volunteered for the Lakehead University Food Bank as well as blood and organ donation camps in India as a means to contribute back to society. While I am a recent Engineering graduate, I am eager to learn and improve and I believe my resume reflects that. I believe that persistence in work is the key to achieving success, and I feel your organization would be a great platform to start my career. I am organized and a good communicator, and with my knowledge and enthusiasm I believe I can add real value to your organization. I am flexible for relocation and ready to work at any point in time.
