Engineer in Burlington, Vermont

I am currently employed in the town of Hollis New Hampshire, at a company called Spica Technologies, and am looking to relocate to the greater Burlington area sometime during the month of July of this year. At my current position I am responsible for performing experiments in a laboratory environment. I operate high power lasers at a variety of wavelengths, as well as other high precision optical equipment. This position required me to learn a lot of fundamental knowledge about laser damage principles in a short period of time, and subsequently using these principles in high consequence scenarios. I mention this to highlight my demonstrated ability to absorb knowledge in a new field and utilize this in effective ways. Before this job I gained experience through multiple internships in manufacturing environments, surrounded by other engineers who instilled in me the value of measurable objectives and results. I am no stranger to work environments which require highly self-motivated individuals capable of organizing and prioritizing multiple projects at once. I spent time using CAD software such as Solidworks and AutoCAD at these internships, and was involved with daily monitoring of production as well as continual improvement.
